Maria Prinz

Maria Prinz Born in Bulgaria (her father was the famous bulgarian conductor and composer Konstantin Iliev)

Studies in Berlin (1975-80) with Prof. Rudolf Dunckel, in Vienna (1981) with Prof. Jörg Demus and in Paris (1982) with Prof. Ivonne Lefébure -1983-87 piano-professor at the Academy of Music - Zürich

Maria Prinz teaches since 1987 at the University ofmusic and performing art in Vienna
concerts as soloist in Austria, USA, Italy, Germany, Schwitzerland, Japan, Belgium

Performed the bulgarian première of "Oiseaux exotiques" by Olivier Messiaen (2001)

Chamber music with members of Vienna Philharmonic orchestra (Alfred Prinz, Peter Schmidl, Wolfgang Schulz a.o.)

CD-recordings - Haydn and Mozart piano concertos by Gega New (GD 233), Brahms - sonatas for clarinet and piano with Alfred Prinz (Fontec), Puccini - songs with Krassimira Stoyanova (GD 300)

July 2005-chamber music concerts with members of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan
New invitation for the festival for July 2008

On August 13. 15. and 16.-concerts with Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Riccardo Muti, conducting at the Salzburg Festival

During the Mozart – year 2006 – recitals under the title „Mozart and his contemporaries“ in Vienna, Sofia, Prag, Bloomington and Los Angeles

On July 14. 2006 – concert at the Danube Festival in Ulm (Germany)

Opening of the saison 2006/2007 with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Sir Neville Marriner, conducting on October 5. 2006 with Mozarts piano concerto KV488
